Deirdre completed her MA in Clinical Psychology at the University of Stellenbosch. After practicing in both the public and private sectors, she shifted into qualitative research, spending several years across diverse corporate environments before launching her own consultancy in 2008. Driven by a long-standing interest in healthcare journeys, she later founded Medical Matters. More recently, as an HPCSA-registered psychologist and SASREG member, Deirdre has returned to her clinical roots. She dedicates this area of her practice to the thorough assessment of non-identified gamete donors, bringing a deep personal commitment to the profoundly generous individuals who help others build their families.

Deirdre is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professions Council of South Africa) and is a member of SASREG (Southern African Society of Reproductive Medicine and Gynaecological Endoscopy) and SAMRA (Southern African Marketing Research Association).
When Deirdre is not working, you will likely find her birding, enjoying local theatre, 4x4 camping in the bushveld, or trying her best to grow indigenous fynbos like ericas and proteas in her garden.
